This web site is in no way affiliated with Poulsbo RV. The only connection we have with Poulsbo RV is as victims of its unethical and unscrupulous business practices; in other words, we were customers of Poulsbo RV.
'
The following information is published as a warning to prospective customers of Poulsbo RV that:
(1) Washington state's consumer protection laws do not protect the motorhome buyer, and
(2) under Washington state law, everything Poulsbo RV did to us in selling us a defective motorhome, although unethical and unscrupulous, is legal.
We aren't alone. Read the entries in our guestbook to see how Poulsbo RV continues its pattern of deceit of, and disdain for, its customers. And be sure to read the email we've received from people who've dealt with Poulsbo RV.
On August 31, 2004, Poulsbo RV began posting bogus messages to our guestbook. I have identified them and left them there.

Carl Hultenberg, Internet Sales Manager, proudly carries on the Poulsbo RV tradition of lying to customers.

Poulsbo RV is trying to shut down this web site and has hired two law firms in the past to threaten us. The lawyers knew we were in the right and their client had no leg to stand on. So they mailed us some threatening letters, took their money, and disappeared.
Another Poulsbo RV employee, Damian Gibbs, is now trying to get rid of us. On June 16, 2004, he asked for help at a web site of internet experts. Mentions of "poulsborv.com" in that correspondence were later changed to "our domain.com" at Damian's request because the answers to his questions weren't what he had hoped for and he didn't want them found by people doing web searches for Poulsbo RV. Then Damian attempted to have his call for help totally removed from the web site.

In April, 1999, Poulsbo RV of Everett, Washington (with locations also in Auburn, Vancouver, Poulsbo and Kent) sold us a brand new Fleetwood Bounder motorhome containing several serious defects, known to them but hidden from us.
These defects include a malfunctioning slideout room, carbon monoxide leakage, extensive rainwater damage, and serious problems with both electrical systems, 12 volt and 110 volt.
Poulsbo RV's first response to us was "If you don't like it, sue Fleetwood". Suing has never been our goal. Our goal is to have what we paid for.
Unknown to us, and hidden from us when we directly asked, was the fact that Poulsbo RV had our motorhome driven back to the Fleetwood factory, a 2,400 mile round trip, for repair (unsuccessful) of the same defects before we bought it.
Poulsbo RV general service manager Larry McAmis
specifically and repeatedly denied this when we asked him.
Larry McAmis lied to us.
We have a Fleetwood Enterprises, Inc. work order documenting that unsuccessful repair, and a copy was provided by us to Poulsbo RV's previous lawyer, Brian D. Buckley. It made no difference. Neither Poulsbo RV nor the lawyers it hires to threaten us with lawsuits and try to scare us off has ever disputed what is on these pages.

When we asked
Poulsbo RV salesperson Cheryl Gerry
why a brand new motorhome would have more than 3,700 miles on it, she told us that was the distance from the factory to the dealer.
We did not know where the Fleetwood factory was at that time and were naive enough to believe her.
Cheryl Gerry lied to us.

When we finally filed a complaint with the Washington Attorney General's Office of Consumer Protection, which we discovered has no enforcement powers, Poulsbo RV general manager Jim Elliott wrote a letter to that office in response to our complaint. Elliott's letter contains eight lies about us and our attempts to return our defective motorhome.
Poulsbo RV general manager
Jim Elliott lied
to the Washington State Attorney General's Office.

Our experience is not unique. People write to us about their encounters with Poulsbo RV. Read email here and guestbook messages here. Poulsbo RV hasn't changed its sales tactics, only its lawyers.
What the lawyers want is simple -- they want all the people who have written about their experiences with Poulsbo RV to be silenced -- to stop telling the truth about Poulsbo RV. At least they did want that before Poulsbo RV fired them.
